It was built in 1858 by Chauncey Brewer, a wealthy Marshall farmer, merchant and owner of a general store and dry goods business, and his wife, Emily. This home remained in that family until 1968. The Frankes purchased Oak Hill in 1979 and have done much to restore this home to its former elegance. It is listed in the historic American Buildings Survey and the State Register of Historic Sites. The Frankes have hosted many community fundraisers and family weddings on the grounds of their home. Previous | Home | Next |
