COMMUNITY-BUILT
Kids' Kingdom
PLAYGROUND

Boxford Mass. example

Construction is to be this October 11th-16th, 2005 and the playground open for play some five days after construction begins!

The City of Marshall has donated Ketchum Park as the designated playground area

Jackie Hathaway, who is the Co-General Coordinator, founded Friends of the Marshall Community Playground.

Jackie and other Moms and kids took field trips to play at Victory Park in Albion and wondered why Marshall couldn't have a great playground like Albion's right here in Marshall.

Jackie got the ball rolling by drumming up support for her playground idea and contacted Leather & Associates about doing a great playground in Marshall.

Friends of the Marshall Community Playground and Leather & Associates are teaming together to build a community playground in Marshall.  Leather & Associates has over 30 years experience and some 1600 community-built projects.  Albion`s Victory Park is one of them.

None of this is possible without a community wide effort!

Design ideas by Marshall kids; financial donations from local business and families; tools, materials, & sweat equity from individuals/families to create Marshall's Community Playground - something we can all be proud of!
