VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

  • Construction scheduled for October 11-16, 2005 (lasts 5-6 days)
  • Location of the playground: Ketchum Park
  • Large playground of approx. 10,000 sq. ft.
  • Safe materials - built with a combination of plastic composite lumber and arsenic-free treated wood (for support).
  • 450 volunteers will be needed to help make this happen
  • Volunteers needed for Childcare, Fundraising, Construction, Food, Tools, and Donated Materials
  • Tools (i.e., screw guns, drills, saw horses, levels, belt sanders) will need to be loaned for the construction of the playground
  • Leathers & Associates will help design the playground (www.leathersassociates.com) 
  • Victory Park in Albion was also a community-built playground and it turned out great!
